If you are joining us on our journey along the Rhône River, we warmly invite you to experience the comfort of our business-class train service to Marseille.
Upon your arrival in Marseille, you will have the pleasure of an overnight stay at our official Ligonier Ministries Rhône River Cruise 5-star hotel. Your accommodation includes a special private breakfast* with fellow guests of the Ligonier Rhône River Cruise, along with essential cruise embarkation instructions, followed by an enriching guided tour of beautiful Aix-en-Provence. Upon conclusion of the tour, we will board the luxurious AmaKristina to commence the next chapter of our remarkable journey.
*Please note that participation in the special group breakfast is limited to guests registered for our special pre-cruise package.
ITINERARY: APRIL 29 – 30, 2026
Day 1:
Guests participating in our French Tour will enjoy a full breakfast at our hotel in Paris, followed by a motorcoach transfer to Gare de Lyon train station. We will then board our first-class carriage for the high-speed rail trip to Marseille, traveling through the scenic Burgundy wine region and Provence.
Upon our arrival at the train station in France, we will board a motorcoach that will transport us to our luxurious 5-star accommodation in Marseille: the InterContinental Marseille-Hôtel Dieu. Overlooking the Vieux Port, the hotel features grand staircases and stunning terraces that reflect the historical significance of the 18th-century building, which was inaugurated by Napoleon III. Enjoy the terrace with views of the Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, rejuvenate in their spa or with a swim in the indoor pool. Dinner is an opportunity for you to explore this lively Southern Mediterranean city on your own.

Day 2:
This morning, we will have the pleasure of enjoying a special private breakfast at the InterContinental Marseille Hotel with fellow guests of the Ligonier Rhône River Cruise, along with essential cruise embarkation instructions. After breakfast, we will head to the lovely Aix-en-Provence. Situated in the south of France, Aix-en-Provence is a charming city celebrated for its refined atmosphere, dynamic culture, and historical relevance. You will have the opportunity to discover the cafes and restaurants of this delightful city at your leisure. We will then proceed to board our motorcoaches and initiate the journey to our riverside hotel, the AmaKristina, for the next 7 days. After embarkation, you will have the chance to explore the vessel, followed by our welcome dinner and an opportunity to engage with our Ligonier Teaching Fellows.
